Symmetrix Software Engineer
EMC Symmetrix is the storage platform that revolutionized the storage industry. Symmetrix provides available, reliable, high-performance storage that will expand quickly and easily in the future. With more than 70,000 systems shipped worldwide since 1990, organizations of all sizes rely on Symmetrix for constant data access, business continuity, and massive consolidations. This position is with the Symmetrix Software Group. This role is a key principle or senior level software engineer position that requires strong technical skills in a large scale software development environment. The successful candidate will work very closely with a high performance team of software developers who work on host based Symmetrix control software. Technologies utilized include components of the Solutions Enabler product, as well as interaction with Symmetrix microcode to ensure new feature requests are met. The Symmetrix software engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of methods to manage, test and troubleshoot storage related issues running in IBM z/OS Mainframe environment using GDPS. This person has primary responsibility to support the GDPS environment for all of the Symmetrix engineering organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Storage Development Engineer
The storage development engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the NetWorker product, the fastest and most flexible backup and recovery solution in the industry. This person will demonstrate strong technical knowledge and design abilities, and will utilize these skills to help other teams and developers guarantee technical coherence of the product with each feature they develop. The senior integrated marketing manager is also responsible for developing and implementing EMC’s go-to market strategy within a defined initiative(s) area. This individual will oversee and execute all aspects of multiple EMC marketing programs, strategy, tactics and objectives and will assume a high-profile consultative marketing role with EMC’s key offer, GEO, and divisional contacts. Senior Director of Strategic Alliances
The senior director will develop business alliances that leverage EMC hardware and software technology in the marketplace. In this role, he or she will manage the technical, marketing and sales force engagement aspects of the relationships. This position requires the ability to negotiate significant partnership agreements; as well as manage a staff of alliance managers, conduct performance and salary reviews, provide input to skills development plans, provide coaching and all aspects of people management. The senior director will also manage alliance budget, and function with all levels of the partner organization and EMC to accomplish common goals.

Prepare and publish an Alliance Plan, which expresses the corporate strategic approach to the alliance and outlines the areas of technical collaboration, marketing campaigns and sales engagement model, etc.

The QA engineer will serve as an Individual contributor in the project QA team. The curriculum is focused on four primary roles: 1) Technical pre-sales, 2) Hardware installation and maintenance, 3) Software/services implementation and 4) Storage systems administration. Training classes may contain one or more of the following EMC product or solution elements: Feature/Functionality, Usability, Planning/Design, Installation/Maintenance, Implementation/ Troubleshooting and/or Administration/Tuning. Associate Technical Consultant
Working under the guidance of senior technology consultants, the associate technical consultant (ATC) will participate in the associate program to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to perform and excel core job responsibilities. The program will provide the necessary training and mentoring to provide a firm foundation for entry into a career in the TS pre-sales organization. The ATC assists senior technology consultants in the analysis and design of technology solutions. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise in support of pre-sales activities and is responsible for achieving and maintaining specialist level technical acumen within assigned practice specialty. Associate Storage Operations Specialist
The associate storage operations specialist is responsible for day-to-day storage management as required by the Managed Storage Services contract and service level agreements (SLAs) between EMC and the client. This is a technical role and the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the storage infrastructure.

Duties/Responsibilities:

May own operational responsibility for storage provisioning and availability at the customer site(s). Provisions storage based on standardized procedures detailed in the Operational Run Book and to meet customer agreed upon SLAs
Plan, coordinate, manage execution of the backup and recovery plans as agreed upon by EMC and the customer
Participate as needed, in the design and operational execution of the customer’s storage disaster recovery process as required
Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with EMC and customer’s change management policies
Perform necessary data migration, as required, and as defined by EMC’s migration practices
Participate in the configuration, layout and performance tuning of storage infrastructure

Associate Implementation Specialist
The associate implementation specialist provides software-related custom integration and implementation support on EMC products at the customer site; this may include pre-site inspection, initial installation, troubleshooting, implementation, customization, integration, and outline orientation for the customer. The ideal candidate will be able to represent EMC in a professional manner to the customer at all times.

Duties/Responsibilities:

May train customer personnel when authorized by TS management
Perform according to established safety standards; report unsafe situations and recommend improvements; prepare, maintain, and submit activity/progress reports and time recording/ management reports in accordance with published procedures

Associate Engineer, SSC
Under general supervision, the associate engineer provides basic technical support to field support personnel, internal and external EMC customers as well as EMC distributors. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop resolutions to problems of limited scope and follow standard practices and procedures. The associate engineer is responsible for recording and updating customer calls on customer service call tracking databases in a timely and accurate manner.
Defined protocols and independent judgment will be utilized by this person to properly escalate more complex issues to more experienced staff in order to resolve customer issues in the most expedient manner possible. The associate engineer works closely with the customer to resolve technical issues, primarily on UNIX, HPUX, NT, SUN Solaris, AIX and/or MVS operating systems. He or she will redirect or provide necessary follow-up with customers and customer service management to ensure issue is satisfactorily resolved.

The advisory account technology consultant (advisory ATC) system engineer is a high level pre-sales resource responsible for the translation of business and technical imperatives into solution sales campaigns that are consistent with EMC's strategic business focus. By applying EMC and storage industry-related technical acumen, relationship development, and consultative selling skills, the advisory ATC is charged with co-facilitating our transition to a solutions-based engagement model. Technology Solutions Associate Project Manager
The technology solutions associate project manager works in conjunction with the account team, and is responsible for the delivery of "billable" services for EMC engagements. This person in this role will manage the life cycle of small to medium size, low risk projects from architectural design through to customer acceptance and customer service handover. He or she will also be responsible for the development and execution of a detailed EMC solution implementation plan, which includes ensuring that implementation activities are coordinated with EMC and Partner Resources. Working under the general direction of either a project manager or program delivery lead/manager, the technology solutions associate project manager acts as primary interface to the customer, vendor and all EMC personnel associated with the engagement.

He or she must also be knowledgeable of industry best practices in the implementation of complex storage environments.
